Homura Akemi Skirt Finished

Another half-finished project piece done! I hemmed and sewed ruffles onto the bottom of my Homura Akemi skirt thus completing it. Here are a few pictures. MadDog out!

THE SUMMER OF COSPLAY!

• FINISHING MY FRACKING ALOIS TRANCY COSPLAY ONCE AND FOR ALL!
• Completing either my C.C. or Homura Akemi (both of which I have already begun).

For Homura:

1. Finish skirt.
2. Make boots.
3. Make blouse (undershirt?).
4. Make "outershirt." (yeah, not sure what to call it)
5. Make headband.
6. Make gem hand piece.
7. Buy wig.

Or for C.C.:

1. Make boots.
2. Make shorts.
3. Make crop top.
4. Make arm things.
5. Make main uniform.
6. Make belt.

• Making my Senior Dress-Up Day costume (which I thought was going to be Zelda but now that I've taken on Hajime she may be off the table. I dunno--we'll see).
• Starting both a 833 M17UN4 C4P70R (Bee Mituna Captor from Homestuck) and a Trickster Dirk Strider (also from Homestuck).
• Designing and making the shoes, legs, and bodice of my Hajime Ichinose. (Preferably the arms as well but saving the wig, head piece, and skirt for later.)

Homura Akemi Skirt! (Started)

Today I started work on my Homura Akemi skirt! I made a basic gray, pleated skirt that I will be hemming (to the right length) and sewing white trim/lace/haven't decided quite yet around the bottom of. That's about all for today. Here's a picture. MadDog out!

What Time is It?!--New Cosplay Time!

Hellos! So I have officially decided on two more cosplays! Yay! I will now also be working on a C.C. from Code Geass and a Homura Akemi from Puella Magi Madoka Magica! I will be making C.C. for a solo cosplay and hopefully the Underwater Hemisphere will all be making making magical girls to go with my Homura. I've bought some materials (one 38'' long green wig, two pairs of shoes, and some stretchy black fabric) to get started on these already so hopefully I will have another post not too long from now. More Homura Akemi Nails

I don't know why, but I seem to be forever on a quest to find the perfect adaptation of Homura Akemi nail art. Therefor, today I have come up with another interpretation of her nails. They are just purple nails with gems in the shape of a diamond on the middle finger. You can see my first interpretation here. MadDog out!

Other Everyday Geeky-Ness

So, this is also going to be a thing. As much as I like everyday cosplay, believe it or not there are times you need to just wear casual clothes or you need to actually get dressed up for something. I however, am now introducing this new section on showing you the awesome things you can do to be a dork even through these bizarre times of actually having a social life. ^U^ Kay? To start this off, I'm just going to show you something you can do with your nails (because if characters have interesting nails you can always imitate them and paint your nails the way that they do). To
start out, I'm just going to say, I was just going to paint my nails the exact way Homura Akemi's (Puella Magi Madoka Magica) are, but I was out of the purple I needed so I decided to do something a little different. I painted my nails in generally the usual way I paint them (black with some sort of sparkles and a different color ring finger) but this time, I taped off a diamond on my middle finger while I was painting it. That way, it was a small reference to Homura and I could still show my inner geeky-ness on the outside. Hope you enjoyed this post! MadDog out!
