Welcome beings of all sorts! Somehow, you have found this blog. :D I congratulate you on that whether it was through success or failure! My name is Madeleine Schmuch aka MadDog and I am an amateur cosplayer. I will also be your guide here. This blog came to be because I needed to organize my cosplays and constantly work on them so that I would finish them. I thought that if I had a commitment to post I would work more often and would not forget important things. This blog started off as being called "MadDog's Sewing" but has since then turned into a guide to cosplay and has taken on the new name "MadDog's Wicked Guide to Wicked Cosplay." That being said, I'm terrible with names. This blog should really be called "MadDog's Tips That She's Found to be Useful and is now Sharing on a Blog in Hopes That They Might Help Somebody Else in Their Efforts to Cosplay." That name fits this blog much better however, it was a little bit too long. Moving on, I've added new sections to make this blog more informative but they are almost all ongoing sections. (If you need information on certain things now, please shoot me an email. Another Anime Convention 2014

So, as you already may know, I went to Sunday of Another Anime Convention. I wasn't able to go to the other days thanks to a marching band competition but still getting to go was rad. Like I've said previously, I cosplayed as Mituna Captor (from Homestuck) and my friends were John, Jade, and the Mayor. This time around I wanted to make a video of Soondra's (my friend who dressed up as the Mayor) first convention so she would have something cool (or at least a little more interesting than the usual slew of photos) to look back at when she becomes a weathered cosplayer so that happened. I've posted it here along with the few photos I managed to take amidst the filming. It was pretty cool to do all filming so I dunno, maybe I'll do it for more conventions. I have no idea what my next convention will be it really depends on scheduling and how long I stay as broke as I am right now. (So basically my next con report could be Alternicon 2014 or it could be Anime Boston 2015. I just don't know right now.)

Hey Hey Mituna is Done

I'm so very excited for Another Anime Convention! My Mituna is completely finished and my friends who are going are almost done with their costumes as well. Although I'm only going Sunday, I know the other Bostonstucks will be a blast so it should be rad. Here's a photo of the whole outfit minus the makeup because I didn't feel like having to put on and then take off gray paint before marching band practice.


FYI: I made thing wings with random materials around my house (i. e. wire, fabric, and hot glue).











And the wig is just my generic shaggy black wig that I like to use. It's Arda's Hansel but this time around I also attached some styled long bangs to make it Mituna accurate. (1 C4N7 533 4NY7H1NG!)

Random update! I actually have been asked my the PTA at my school to wear my Elsa cosplay to an event we run called Triton is Haunted so as long as everything goes according to plan, you shall be seeing a completed Elsa before October 25th instead of October 31st.
