On Friday, as you already know, I cosplayed as Seras Victoria. Above is a photo of me (with my wig falling off--be proud) and another Seras cosplayer. Seras buddies unite! I don't do the whole skip school to go to conventions thing unfortunately so I worked on my Levi cosplay for about two hours after school before I took the train in to Boston. I arrived a the con with my friends at about six on Friday and left at about nine. It wasn't as much time as I had hoped for but we still got to walk around taking photos, go to a Kill la Kill panel, and buy stuff. On the way back home, we did the classic "freak people out who are at the convenience store" by buying tons of safety pins and red bull in crazy outfits talking almost quite literally in a different language. When I got home at about 10:30, I worked on my Levi cosplay until 2:30 at which point I started hearing things and hit the sack. I got up at 5:30 and with my glorious three hours of sleep attempted to finish my cosplay which I did... in the car on the way to convention... But that's Saturday. Anyway, here are some of my favorite cosplayers from what I saw of Anime Boson on Friday.

Seras Victoria Part Two: The Shirt COMPLETE!

So Tuesday I completed my Seras Victoria shirt finally! Yay! Also, I made the skirt. Yay. I had to basically do a ton of hand sewing to complete this i. e. attach the collar, buttons, etc. I don't have a picture of just me in what I had complete for Anime Boston (which is basically the entire cosplay minus the socks and the gloves and a potential prop), so here is one of me and my friends waiting for the train to come on Friday.

How to Make Patches (When You are in a Fix)

Today I worked more on my Seras Victoria (I figured I should as Anime Boston is in a little more than a week--haha, I'm doomed) and I thought I 'd showed you how to make patches with only a few materials (and no talent for embroidery). It's really quite simple. The first thing you have to do is find a scrap of fabric a little bigger than the patch you would like to make. Then, draw an outline of the patch onto the fabric. After that you want to cut the fabric out but make sure to leave a little extra around the edges and iron that down (on the outline) for a smooth edge. Then all you have to do is paint the design you want on to the other side of the patch and hand stitch it to the whatever garment you want to put it on. More Seras soon. MadDog out!

Seras Victoria (aka Policegirl XD) Part One: Shirt

Well, I told you I'd have a Seras post today and here it is! I've worked on her shirt a lot but I haven't quite finished it. I still need to hem the sleeves to the right length, hem the bottom, alter the collar, and add all the buttons, patches, etc. Anyways, here are some pictures. MadDog out!

Seras Victoria Wig

I had my Seras Victoria wig come in! As you can very well see, I need to style it badly. Right now I can't really see anything when I wear it and I need to make it spike at the ends. These "edits" will come in due time but right now I really just posted it cause I was excited. So that's all. In case you are wondering where it came from, this is an Arda wig in the style of Magnum and in the color of Titanium Blonde (AR017). MadDog out!

 

New Cosplays! Many of Them!

Well. you may have noticed the new pictures that have shown up on the right side of this blog and are wondering when I'm going to be making those cosplays so here are the plans. This week, me and Bagle took the classroom part of Driver's Ed (get off the roads!), and having to sit through seven hours of graphic movies and things five days this week, we got just a little bit bored. So, we did challenges (EX: sit like L for as long as you can without falling off your chair) and we eventually ended up planning out all of our future cosplays. So we have a list of what we are doing and many pictures of chibis. We are working on finding ridiculous amounts of grommets for our Devit and Jasdero pants (so don't worry--they are coming soon) but we have also decided to slowly start gathering materials for future cosplays.
The first cosplay we decided on was Pikachu (I hope that you know that Pikachu is from Pokémon).Originally we were just going to get yellow clothes and edit them with fabric paint but them we decided that we could do something much cooler. So we decided to do a some variations of Pikachus. We hope that the end results will be awesome. If you check out my cosplay board (Please Click Here) you can see our general plans.
The second cosplay that we decided on was making Shinji's and Asuka's plugsuits (from Neon Genesis Evangelion). We came to that decision pretty easily. To put simply, Bagle wanted to make an Asuka plugsuit and I didn't feel like being Rei so soon after cosplaying as her (I wanted to make someone other than her so Shinji it is).
Last but not least, I decided my next cosplay (as in just me, not a group cosplay). I've decided on Seras Victoria (from Hellsing Ultimate). I'm not quite sure what color uniform I want to make but right now the yellow one is in the lead. That's about it. Pictures below (in order).
