Welcome Beings of All Sorts

Welcome beings of all sorts! Somehow, you have found this blog. :D I congratulate you on that whether it was through success or failure! My name is Madeleine Schmuch aka MadDog and I am an amateur cosplayer. I will also be your guide here. This blog came to be because I needed to organize my cosplays and constantly work on them so that I would finish them. I thought that if I had a commitment to post I would work more often and would not forget important things. This blog started off as being called "MadDog's Sewing" but has since then turned into a guide to cosplay and has taken on the new name "MadDog's Wicked Guide to Wicked Cosplay." That being said, I'm terrible with names. This blog should really be called "MadDog's Tips That She's Found to be Useful and is now Sharing on a Blog in Hopes That They Might Help Somebody Else in Their Efforts to Cosplay." That name fits this blog much better however, it was a little bit too long. Moving on, I've added new sections to make this blog more informative but they are almost all ongoing sections. (If you need information on certain things now, please shoot me an email. Email: wickedcosplay@yahoo.com) Whether you just want to follow my projects or learn how to start cosplaying, I'm hoping that this blog will be a help. MadDog out! :)

Oh Look--More Anime Boston

Just thought I'd post this if you wanted to see me (and my friends) try to speak to people. I'm really proud. Thankfully they (Nerdy Itch) didn't include most of our mutterings... That's about all for now. MadDog out!

Attack on Titan Photoshoot (More Anime Boston)

Hello again everyone. Here is the last of the Anime Boston photos I will be uploading for you guys. These are from the Attack on Titan photoshoot Saturday. I'm not uploading all of them because there are simply too many and I have to get back to homework soon but I 'll try to post the best shots I have on my camera courtesy of my friend, Emily.

Well, even if they are tear-jerking, I hope you enjoyed seeing these photos. I dunno what I'm going to do next but I will update you all when I figure that out. Until then, MadDog out!

Anime Boston 2014 (Saturday)

Saturday, March 22, 2014

Well. There is the group picture that I was talking about. The Hanji and Sasha standing next to me are two of the friends I went with and members of the Underwater Hemisphere. (I had to help them with the adventure of finishing their cosplay at the convention itself which was pretty great. No it wasn't--I can't even pretend it was--never try and make your cosplay a week before the con!) There were a ton of Attack on Titan cosplayers there everyday but on Saturday, being Levi I got to go to an Attack on Titan shoot (which I will have a separate post for). Here's another group photo with another Levi and Hanji who go to the same school as us.

And now for some of my favorite cosplayers! This was really hard to pick because the cosplay there on Saturday was so frequent and so amazing. Awesome job to everyone who cosplayed!

And this guy never actually spoke but we saw him walking down the street in our car on the way to the con and he gave us the thumbs up after much waving through the windows and giving the thumbs up to him.

It was a good day.

Anime Boston 2014 (Friday)

Friday, March 21, 2014

On Friday, as you already know, I cosplayed as Seras Victoria. Above is a photo of me (with my wig falling off--be proud) and another Seras cosplayer. Seras buddies unite! I don't do the whole skip school to go to conventions thing unfortunately so I worked on my Levi cosplay for about two hours after school before I took the train in to Boston. I arrived a the con with my friends at about six on Friday and left at about nine. It wasn't as much time as I had hoped for but we still got to walk around taking photos, go to a Kill la Kill panel, and buy stuff. On the way back home, we did the classic "freak people out who are at the convenience store" by buying tons of safety pins and red bull in crazy outfits talking almost quite literally in a different language. When I got home at about 10:30, I worked on my Levi cosplay until 2:30 at which point I started hearing things and hit the sack. I got up at 5:30 and with my glorious three hours of sleep attempted to finish my cosplay which I did... in the car on the way to convention... But that's Saturday. Anyway, here are some of my favorite cosplayers from what I saw of Anime Boson on Friday.

Also... DEMON CAT BUNNY!!!!

So Much Levi

Wednesday, March 19, 2014 and Thursday, March 20, 2014

So, when I worked on Levi, I also had to teach two of my friends, Danni and Emma how to sew. Making my Levi cosplay took longer than expected because I had to keep pausing my work to walk these two through making their Sasha and Hanji cosplays as well. It was a lot of fun but also very tedious because we all basically put off making our cosplay until the week before.

"Blood, sweat, tears, and fabric went into this cosplay." --Danni

Anyway, I don't have single shot of me alone in my Levi cosplay so here is a picture of me cropped out of a group photo. You will see the actual photo when Saturday's report comes around.
